Tomasz Sikorski was a fellow student and friend while I was studying in Warsaw in the early sixties. Together with Zygmunt Krause and Zbigniew Rudzinski we founded the Warsztat Muzyczny group specialising in contemporary avant-garde music. Sikorski was a huge talent, as composer and pianist. He was generous, irascible and a wonderful friend. In the end alcohol killed him.
